I have been serving in Honduras since 2012 as a Registered Nurse. At a young age, God placed a desire in my heart to serve as a missionary, and throughout my years of schooling that desire never faded. I participated in my first mission trip to Costa Rica in 2009, and God once again confirmed the call that he placed on my life.
After graduating from Troy University in 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, I worked for four months in the Cardiovascular Step Down Unit in Montgomery, Alabama. Even though I enjoyed my job, I never felt fulfilled in what I was doing. I knew that I had a calling on my life to do medical missions, and pursing that calling was the next step.
In May 2012 I had the opportunity of coming to Honduras to serve with Healing Hands Global as a six month intern. Needless to say, I fell in love with the people of Honduras and knew this is where God wanted me to be! During my internship, the Williams asked me to pray about continuing to work with them as a full-time volunteer. I returned in January of the following year and have been happily serving alongside Dr. Martin and Wendy Williams since.
As a full-time volunteer, I assist in hosting teams, running medical brigades in the communities, and providing health education to the local schools. I am blessed to be here in Honduras working with the Healing Hands Global team to bring health, hope and healing to the under served areas of Honduras.
